Price for Polaroid now $42 million

Another sad chapter in the fate of the once iconic photography technology company is beginning with news that Polaroid is being offered to a private equity firm for a $42 million. This after the company was laid low with fraud allegations against owner Tom Petters. The company has been in bankruptcy proceedings since December.

The Impossible Project

Meanwhile, some former Polaroid engineers have started what they call "The Impossible Project" designed to produce some new Polaroid-compatible film. They have even taken over a shuttered (yuk) Polaroid factory in the Netherlands.

Got me a 600SE body

On the other hand, I just got my hands on a Polaroid 600SE --albeit one without a lens -- and will attempt to try it out today with the help of a local user.
