Summer Rider

Rider out of the negative | Carl Zeiss Flektogon 20mm f/2.8 on Pentax K1000 with Kodak ULTRAMAX 400

Out of the beginning of the roll he came, on FIRE, street rocket growling underneath him...

Well that's how it looks to me.

That burning part of the emulsion is the beginning of the negative. I still haven't figured out exactly where the roll begins and when I can really start counting frames. I load it into the Pentax K1000, slap the back shut, and usually wind it once and start shooting.

I couldn't repeat this mistake if I tried.

And maybe I shouldn't mention that the shot I took before this on the roll just never showed up.

But, here's to you, half-naked motorcyclist on Dunsmuir. And here's to wonderful film mistakes.
